About us

The H2O consortium offers a broad spectrum of services on the fields of water management and environmental protection, from conceptual planning, through design, authorization and implementation to operation of projects.

Our company, with its’ 60+ colleagues and co-workers has completed more than 3000 projects and contractual tasks successfully for various service providers, governmental and municipal customers from different industries as well as for engineering companies. Our specialized proficiency in water management, environmental protection, technology and economics is supplemented with an internal knowledge management system that ensures the efficient use of acquired expertise and information.

We regularly re-examine both our ISO 9001 quality management system, introduced in 1997, and our ISO 14001 environmental management system, introduced in 2000, and adjust them according to new market challenges and changing circumstances.

The consortial members are active in Laos, Indonesia, Europe and several countries across Africa in the wide range of water- and wastewater treatment with several hundred engineers and multiple offices.

DRINKING WATER PURIFICATION

Providing drinking water for communities is a challenging engineering and logistical task, including important environmental studies. There is no general solution, as the applied technology heavily depends on the desired capacity as well as on the source water quality. However, there are some general guidelines to be considered when designing and deploying such plants. Drinking water must be free of suspended solids, microorganisms, and toxic chemicals. During the treatment processes the polluted water becomes free from germs and bacteria. The various influencing factors such as required capacity, available raw water quality, site conditions, power supply options, etc., make every scheme distinctive. Customizability and scalability are key.

INDUSTRIAL WATER SUPPLY / TREATMENT

Water usage is a fundamental commodity for every step of the industrial production processes therefore the reliable functioning of the industrial water supply system is crucial to maintain a high-level operational safety. The supplied raw water must be treated before entering the process to ensure water quality requirements, specifications vary considerably depending on the area of use. Our company provides complete technical planning for industrial water supply solutions considering a wide range of technologies and strategies. whether it is a system review or the establishment of a completely new system: elaborating technical scope of the most optimal development, providing complete hydraulic system analysis, planning the treatment technology, estimating the investment cost, and operating expenditures.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

We offer full-scale solutions for our customers for complex environmental issues, including all fields of expertise (water management, solid waste management, air pollution protection, noise protection, nature protection, etc.). Our work expands to conceptual planning, environmental licensing and covers the whole spectrum of supporting operation from ad hoc audits and training to continuous counselling and to carrying out official environmental commissioner tasks.

WATER MOBILIZATION FOR AGRICULTURE

Due to population growth and climate change, the agricultural sector faces serious challenges in the future. As water is a critical input for agricultural production and plays an important role in agricultural productivity and food security, providing adequate water supply is essential to achieve optimal yield ratios. Based on the above, the establishment of reliable irrigation system is a climate adaptation solution essential to meet the food demand, especially in in water stressed regions. Our company provides solutions for this concern for our Hungarian partners, and in the frame of intergovernmental agreements for international partners as well. In our former and ongoing projects, we plan the whole irrigation system including water need assessment, designation of water sources, production of suitable irrigation waters using up-to date treatment techniques, planning the distribution and irrigation systems and potential water reclamation as well.

WATER AND WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT

Protecting water environments, resources and ecosystems from pollution and excessive extraction needs coordinated actions on all levels. It requires aligned strategies, large-scale concepts and detailed design plans for drinking and industrial water supply, wastewater management as well as flood protection. Our group has extensive experience in strategy development and with design-finance-build models for water management projects. Studies conducted for pre-investment validation, like site selection, feasibility studies, environmental (and social) impact analysis, loadability assessments, as well as assistance with the licensing and permit processes are amongst our key competences.
